Course description

Join us for a fresh look at Life Drawing in an exciting new workshop with Lucy Threlfall, Professional Portrait Artist.  Lucy Threlfall will return to guide this course of life drawing sessions to focus on how light and shade describes

form; she will also be encouraging the class to explore the relationship between the figure and pictorial space.


This is a life drawing course with the human figure as a visual prompt through which participants can unlock their own creativity. Focus on spatial concepts, technique and materials in a practical, hands-on class, combining traditional life drawing practices with experimental drawing ideas. Lucy will be offering group tuition as well as one to one guidance. 


Who Should Attend

The course is suitable for all levels of ability, providing a stimulating, accessible environment for beginners and an inspirational fresh look at drawing for those with more experience. This course is for those aged 18 and older.

  • A chance to network and share ideas.
  • Open group discussions allowing for feedback and questions.
  • The class employs nude life models in a light airy architectural space surrounded by inspirational artworks.


No need to bring anything with you all materials including paper will be provided.



Weekly 2 hour classes over 8 weeks. The class runs on a Tuesday from 16th January to 12th March

and starts at 6.30pm sharp. Places limited to 12.
