Charlotte Cornish is a contemporary abstract painter and printmaker often combining both elements in one piece of work. Inspired by Modern British Abstraction, photography and drawings form the starting point for which a series of works follows by printmaking and painting. She hones her technique by applying layers of paint by pouring and dripping without using a brush or tools. Her work explores her responses to meaningful places she has visited, drawn by colours, noise and atmosphere she aims to capture these experiences in her paintings and prints.
