AKA contemporary

Lesley Jones is a contemporary painter with growing recognition for her abstract paintings inspired by the British landscape, fascinated by detailed patterns of rocks and plant structures she strives to capture subtle details with an illusion of 3-dimensionality. Lesley experiments with all kinds of materials in studio creating collages and experimental drawings before committing to canvas. She then uses a process of mark-making and blending with oil or acrylics paints in a method known as “wet on wet” on very smoothly primed canvas aiming to evoke the spirit of her experiences.
